Revamp Rave Network is excited to launch its Second (virtual) Cohort Programme on Climate Change.
Revamp Rave Network is a climate change-based environmental conservation organisation that seeks to change the African climate narrative and push its climate agenda through high-impact capacity building programmes and projects through education.
Revamp Rave Climate College Hub is a get started innovation and sustainability learning platform for promoting climate action and sustainable development. It aims to connect the world, bringing climate education on the digital platform where young people who desire to learn flexibly yet rigorous preparatory education and solutions about Climate Change can learn.
Commitment Timeline:
- May 2022 – August 2022 (14 weeks, every Saturday)
- Approximately 3-4 hours per week (this is an estimated number of hours per week. Please keep in mind that these hours remain constant).
As a participant of the Virtual Cohort Programme you commit to the following activities for 4 months:
- On being a participant of the programme, you’ll make yourself available for the virtual open conference slated for the 29th of April (this is mandatory).
- Must virtually participate actively in the 14 weeks course during the programme, scheduled to start in May 2022.
- Participate in every class assessment given and hold focus group discussions to complete the capstone.
- Be responsive and work with assigned group team members in maximising the opportunities that come with the cohort.
- Be active and regularly contribute during class sessions.
- Must have a good internet connection and a laptop.
Eligibility Criteria and Desired Qualifications and Experience:
All individuals applying for the programme must meet the following criteria:
- Is aged between 17 and 35 years old as of 1 March 2022
- Is an active volunteer of a local, regional, or global youth-led or community-led organization (if not, not to worry)
- Is a non, early or mid-level professional
- Has interest, knowledge of, or demonstrated experience on climate change and in promoting climate action at local and community level after the course (if not, don’t worry here’s a place to learn)
- Has a good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and enjoys working collaboratively with others from different backgrounds and experiences.
- Is comfortable working and learning online (in Google, WhatsApp, Zoom or other online working and meeting platforms).
