Teach For Nigeria Fellowship Program 2021 for Young Nigerian Professionals (Paid)

Teach For Nigeria Fellowship Program 2021 for Young Nigerian Professionals (Paid)

Deadline: May 31st, 2021

As a Fellow, you will set targets and work towards ambitious goals that will put your students on a different life path. The experience will not only develop your leadership skills but also give you first-hand exposure to the educational crisis in our country. It will help you develop an awareness of the wider issues relating to educational inequity – and deepen your understanding of their potential solutions.

Teach for Nigeria invites exceptional university graduates and young professionals to apply for the Fellowship. Teach For Nigeria strongly believes that the only true and sustainable path to improving educational opportunities for all children in Nigeria is by channeling and developing Nigeria’s most capable young leaders just like you against the problem of educational inequity.

Teach for Nigeria (TFN) is committed to ending educational inequity in Nigeria. In the midst of the pandemic, we are committed to continuing to enroll leaders who will drive the movement towards educational equity and excellence in Nigeria. Now more than ever, we are concerned about the students who attend our public schools. Their communities are facing additional and increasing disadvantages that will prevent them from accessing quality education, thereby widening the existing educational gap between children from the lowest and highest socioeconomic households.

This is especially because school can often be a place not just for learning but an engine for social mobility and a safe place from home, with access to food and water. As a result, many students who are out of school are at risk of health and nutritional challenges as well as compromised wellbeing in these times of isolation.

This is why Teach For Nigeria is committed to continuing its work and continues to need not only the next generation of inspiring leaders but existing teachers with exemplary leadership qualities within communities, to help us accelerate positive impact in education and stability for the communities and students we serve.

The Teach For Nigeria Fellowship is a highly selective program. We attract applications from leaders from different workplaces and graduates from the best universities across the world. Through the 3-staged process, we select the candidates with the highest potential to make a difference.
