International Media Camp For Journalists 2020 (Fully Funded), Lviv, Ukraine

International Media Camp will be held on September, 20-27 in Lviv, Ukraine. It recruits participants from Ukraine, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus. The participants are expected to be journalists who cover international affairs and media researchers with a professional interest in the media situation in post-Soviet countries.

International Media Camp is organised by NGO Lviv Media Forum and supported by NED.

  • – If you are lacking professional contacts with the colleagues from abroad so you could produce qualitative content, receive help in data search and do fact checking;
  • – If you need to deepen the understanding of media processes in the post-Soviet region and find contacts of local experts;
  • – If your professional growth craves for exchange of experience with the colleagues from other countries — apply to Media Camp For Journalists!

During a 7-day camp, the participants are encouraged to learn about the current media situation in former USSR countries through a series of lectures, discussions and informal meetings with the experts. Apart from a deep understanding of the current media situation, the participants are expected to form an informal network of professional contacts that will come in handy for them in their further professional activity at home country.

  • On top of that every Media Camp participant receives the free ticket to VIII Lviv Media Forum, the biggest media conference of CEE region, that gathers together about 1000 participants from more than 25 countries throughout the world. VIII Lviv Media Forum will be held in Lviv in May 2021.

Note:

  • The results of the selection process are announced on September 5, 2020.
  • In case you’re interested to take part in the programme but you can’t go to Lviv because of the quarantine restrictions, it’s possible to participate in the Camp online.
