She Leads Africa (SLA) Accelerator Program 2019 for Nigerian Female Entrepreneurs (N2 million Grants in funding)

She Leads Africa is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting young African women and their journey towards professional success. The organisation has been featured on CNN, CNBC Africa, Black Enterprise and Fox Business and has more than 400,000 community members across Africa and the diaspora.

The SLA Accelerator is a 3-month program designed to identify, support and fund the next generation of Nigeria’s brightest female entrepreneurs. The winner of the programme will receive a N2 million funding grant from SLA.

This year, the programme is a digital accelerator and is open to businesses based anywhere in Nigeria.

Eligibility:

  • Based in Nigeria
  • Has at least one female shareholder or owner that is aged 18-35
  • Has received less than $50,000 in funding
  • Has been in operation for less than three years
  • Has already begun operations and has a live product or service on the market
  • You do not need to be Nigerian to apply but your business needs to be based in Nigeria, and you must be in the country for the duration of the program.

Note:

  • Unfortunately entrepreneurs in the idea stage are not eligible to apply

  • The Accelerator program does not support or provide grants to nonprofits, NGOs or foundations. Businesses with a social mission or CSR programs integrated into their businesses are eligible.

What’s the process?

  1. Put together a top-notch application package, ace the semi-final interviews and get selected by the review committee.
  2. Attend a one week in-person bootcamp where you’ll meet the other participants and receive training from the SLA team and some of Nigeria’s most prominent business and operational experts.
  3. Get access to 15 masterclasses on crucial business skills with top business experts, every month for the next 3 months.
  4. Virtual Demo Day! Present your business to local and international investors and media virtually.
