Amnesty’s Human Rights Fellowship 2019

Amnesty’s Human Rights Fellowship 2019

Deadline: March 10, 2019

For more than 50 years, Amnesty International has been committed to mobilizing communities around the world for human rights. We are a global movement of over 7 million activists and supporters worldwide. Our vision for justice begins with the individual, empowering on-the-ground social justice advocates with a human rights framework of global solidarity.

This is why we’re excited to announce the launch of our very first Human Rights Fellowship, to support young people at the front lines of human rights issues across the United States. Whether you’re an organizer, scholar, activist, innovator, educator, or artist, we want to empower you to connect to a global vision for human rights with other young human rights defenders from across the USA. If you’re at the front lines of change on behalf of your community, are age 18-27, and are committed to a global vision for human dignity and rights, then this is the opportunity for you.

Apply today to join our inaugural cohort of fellows! Selected fellows will become part of a lifelong network of human rights defenders, where everyone is committed to sustained, impactful human rights work. We encourage our fellows to own their new network as we partner with them to build a clear vision for human rights-based change that fits their respective communities.

Amnesty International USA Human Rights fellows enjoy:

  • An expenses-paid weekend of training and community-building for human rights work
  • Customized engagement opportunities to accelerate impact
  • Increased visibility for fellows’ work and story
  • Access to a global network of human rights activists
