The Theme: The paradox of power
Times are coming when the decisions to make seem increasingly difficult and the risks increasingly high. Moreover, these decisions seem to affect a growing number of areas of society.
The solutions to the challenges that we must face can be found in the centers of power and influence, in the groups that have the capacity to generate real and lasting change. However, the causes of these same problems and challenges may be rooted in the same pockets of power, due to bad decisions, corruption and negligence.
It seems logical in this scenario, to question the way in which events unfold. To this end, we propose to analyze the different possible scenarios through the use of power in each one of them. From the systems through which we will cede our decision-making power, to the people in whom the true power of action will fall and the technologies that will facilitate or not the process as a whole. Who will be the ones who have the final say in these decisions? How can we be part of this process in a relevant way? Is it possible to start putting together a scenario that will help us put aside the assumptions and put in place a real plan of action?
