http://graduates.aviva.com/en/programme/

Deadline: Ongoing and Varies With Regions

Aviva Global Graduate Leadership Programme, We want to help you become one of our leaders of the future. Providing you with comprehensive leadership training, the programme will give you a broad experience of our whole business. You’ll move across projects, teams and functional areas, locally, regionally and globally through two 12-month assignments. And, as you develop a broad understanding of our business and our products, you’ll be gaining the strategic and global outlook that we need from our future leaders. It’s a chance for you to unleash your full potential.

Structure

First rotation
Based in your home country, the first year of your programme will see you develop your self-awareness and leadership skills, along with your awareness of Aviva’s core principles. Gaining insight into how our industry works, and developing a deep understanding of our core functions, such as Sales, Strategy and Distribution, you’ll get to grips with our overall strategy and collective purpose. This will give you the foundation of knowledge and experience you need to start becoming a business leader.

Second rotation
You’ll start your second year working in an overseas team in one of our 16 global markets. At this stage you’ll start taking on real responsibility, either in a local market team or a central functional role. You’ll also start enhancing your leadership skills, which could include running your own team or project all under the guidance of a senior mentor.

Where could you work?
Both rotations are one year in length. They could be local, regional or international and are dependent on our business needs, so it’s important that you’re open and willing to rotate into any role or market.
While you’ll have the opportunity to work across any of our 16 global markets in your second year, your first rotation, depending on where you apply, will be based in one of the following cities:

Asia: Hong Kong, Singapore
Canada: Toronto
Europe: Milan, Paris, Warsaw
UK & Ireland: Bristol, Eastleigh, London, Norwich, Perth, Sheffield, York.

Training & developing
As a graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills through a combination of face-to-face, e-learning and webinar training platforms, as well as through day-to-day tasks, challenges, practice and networking. Over the course of your programme, we’ll help to grow your leadership skills, empowering you to develop your potential and lead our future growth.

Networking & interacting
When you join the programme, you’ll take part in our three-day global welcome event, having the chance to meet your fellow graduates and gain a better understanding of what we do and how we do it. You’ll be given an introduction to Aviva, our strategy, markets and business, and learn what we’re expecting from you as a graduate. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend a Q&A with our Group CEO Mark Wilson and ask any questions on your mind.
Following the global welcome event, local markets will commence their local orientation to focus on more practical day-to-day information relating to their specific role and introducing them to their specific market.

Coaching & mentoring
We’ll provide you with all the support you need to achieve your potential and set your ambition free throughout the programme. There will always be someone you can go to with any queries you may have, and you’ll always be offered ongoing feedback to help you develop further.
As part of our Senior Mentor Scheme, a member of the senior management team will mentor you across your programme – it’s a fantastic opportunity to benefit from the experience of someone truly invested in the business.
You’ll also be allocated a buddy and a line manager when you join. Our talent management team will work with you to ensure that you have the right support in place, enabling you to focus on your new role and the new exciting challenges you will experience.

Rewards & benefits
We offer rewards and benefits that are both comprehensive and flexible. The benefits may differ from market to market but you’ll be able to tailor your rewards so that you can get even more out of working at Aviva. Benefits available could include:
