The University of Manchester has a fully-funded scholarship available for the MSc:Management and Information Systems distance learning programme.

  • MSc Human Resource Management and Development (International Development)(starting in February).

The Global Development Institute is pleased to announce the availability of 2 tuition fee waivers for academically excellent professionals studying either MSc Human Resource Management and Development (International Development) or MSc Management and Information Systems: Change and Development (Distance Learning).

1 tuition fee waiver is available for each programme.

Academic requirements

Academic Requirement

Applicants must hold a First Class Honours Degree or equivalent and not previously studied in an OECD country

English Language Requirement

Applicants must hold an English language certificate equivalent to an IELTS overall score of 6.5, with 6.5 in writing and no less than 6.0 in any other component.

We will not need evidence of English language from applicants of a UKVI defined majority English speaking country.

Nationality restrictions

This funding is available to international students.

Professional Experience

Applicants must currently be in employment with a minimum of three years relevant work experience.

You must be a national of and resident in one of the listed Africa-Caribbean-Pacific Commonwealth Small States:

Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles, The Gambia; Fiji Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu; Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago

Application procedure

Applications are open to prospective applicants of our MSc Human Resource Management and Development (International Development) and our MSc Management and Information Systems: Change and Development (Distance Learning) programmes only.

To apply candidates must submit a 500 word statement detailing how they will apply their learning to develop a credible career track into development leadership.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • 1 x Professional Reference
  • 1 x Academic Reference
  • English language certificate

  • Candidates are not required to hold an academic offer of a place on their chosen course at the time of application.Late applications cannot be considered.
