International Art Exhibition NordArt Award 2018

International Art Exhibition NordArt Award 2018

Deadline: 30 November 2017

Kunstwerk Carlshütte is a non-profit cultural initiative and organizes an annual art exhibition NordArt, taking place since 1999, with about 200 selected artists from all over the world. As an internationally established forum for cultural education and exchange, the NordArt has dedicated itself to the task of enhancing mutual understanding through the language of art. Year after year, the exhibition designed by Chief Curator Wolfgang Gramm redefines itself anew, setting new priorities. NordArt ranks among the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe. The vast aisles of the historic iron foundry serve as its stage, with their 22,000 square meters of floor space and the adjacent 80,000 square meters’ large sculpture park. Interacting with the impressive scenery of the industrial architecture the art works develop their own unique atmosphere, taking visitors on an incomparable world trip through art.

Since 2012, NordArt has been focusing on a country with its own pavilion, and cooperates with embassies, cultural institutions and curators from different countries.
