Today, the rate of youth’s unemployment in Nigeria is alarming. Java bootcamp aims to reduce the unemployment rate by empowering youths in the field of technology as technology has become an integral part of our daily life. The demand of technology is seen to be a reality in creating employment opportunity for young people. Our Bootcamp teaches youths the art of programming, using Java programming language to give young people an opportunity to be self-employed, and exposed to entrepreneurship through the use of information and communication technology.
Admission at Java Bootcamp Lagos is highly competitive! Out of the increasing number of applications we always get for our Bootcamp registration, we only admit a small fraction of the applicants. It is advisable you register on time due to its highly competitive nature. Register at least one week before the deadline.
OUR PROCEDURE
We only admit students who show high passion, determination, and motivation to learn Java. All prospective students are expected to take our online application test within 3 days of application. You have to pass the test before you can stand the chance to get admission. However, passing the computer competency test doesn’t guarantee that you will be offered admission, that’s why it’s advisable that in your application form, write a mind-blowing motivation because our officials will intensively evaluate your application to see if you have what we are looking for in our students.
SO WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN OUR STUDENTS?
Coding requires determination and persistence. You won’t become a software programmer overnight. JBL student must show great determination and persistence and the right attitude to learn Java.
You’ll need plenty of passion, motivation, and grit to learn Java. You have to make sure that you do your best to stay focused and committed to every project you take on as you learn to become a software developer.
You will be challenged. But these challenges help you grow and develop your ability to find solutions instead of just looking at problems. Therefore, you have to be resilient as JBL student.

I SHOW THE SIGNS BUT I DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PROGRAMMING, CAN I STILL APPLY?
Yes, you can apply as long as you know how to use a computer because you will have to take our computer proficiency test. We don’t need you to know anything about programming; we just need you to show a great passion to learn. At JBL, we start at a beginner level and help you work your way up to harder problems to learn as you go.
As you ascend through the curriculum at JBL, you’ll find that there are personal project and Group Projects that will have you working with a team of your peers to develop a full stack application as well as helps you improve your team skills and communication. It’s a great way to expand your knowledge of coding while working to improve your skillsets.
MUST I HAVE EDUCATIONAL/ PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION?
NO! You don’t need to have any qualification before you can apply for JBL. Your educational/ professional background doesn’t matter, what matters is your zeal to learn and be a better person.
At JBL, you’ll learn the ins and outs of programming starting with courses like Coding from Scratch, Front End Foundations, Programming Foundations, and more. And you’ll always be learning new things, practicing techniques and recoding stuff you thought was top-notch before you found the errors in it that you had to go back and correct.
HOW MUCH IS JBL TUITION FEE?
JBL offers a partial scholarship to support committed and dedicated youths. We give a tuition waiver of 75% off for young passionate Nigerians. If your application is successful, you will be required to pay a token of ₦50,000 only as tuition fee. JBL Duration is 2 months.
WILL THERE BE A CERTIFICATE?
Yes, certificate will be awarded after the completion of the class curriculum.
